Currently we are in Bali. Our first overseas holiday together as a family. I’ve actually lost count of the number of times that I’ve been here but it’s Lee’s first trip and I think he likes it. I know he’s loving the time out with nothing to do but sit in the pool and drink Bintang.

Thinking about how lucky I am to have a healthy and happy family. There is a lot of shit stuff going on, on the larger scale and more personally among people I know. I am very aware of how lucky I am to have what I have.

Feeling a little bit too highly strung for a holiday. I’m going to need to learn how to relax and switch off again.

Enjoying being able to go out for dinner as a couple every night (thanks to our lovely babysitter, Nyoman).

Wearing singlets and some light cotton harem-style pants.

Wanting to be able to see the sunset at least once together while we’re here. Unfortunately that’s not going to work out though with Violet’s early bedtime.

Loving watching Lee and Violet spend some really great quality time together in the pool.

Planning and hoping for Lee and I to come back to Bali on our own for a few nights at some point in the not too distant future.
